Who doesn’t want a hearty beef stew recipe that’s also full of rich homemade flavor?
This is an easy way to get in servings of protein and vegetables. Match this with some crisp green salad on a colder day and you’re all set for the homey experience. 🙂
You’ll Need:
- 5 Large Potatos
- 1/2 Stock Celery
- 5 Organic Carrots
- 2 Yellow Onions
- Package of Beef Stew Meat
- Salt to Taste
- 2 Packages Beef Stew Seasoning Mix (any brand)
- Parsley
- Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 2 Tubs Knorr Homestyle Beef Broth Stock (Concentrated Stock)
- Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
Directions:
Slice carrots at an angle for prettier presentation, set aside
Dice 2 onions, set aside with carrots
Cut 1/2 stock of celery, set aside with carrots and onions
Peel and cut 5 large potato’s and put into water to boil. Fill your 9 quart stock pot about 2/3 of the way full with water.
Add seasonings to the potato’s BEFORE cooking the potato’s so that they soak up that yummy flavor: 2 tubs Knorr Beef Homestyle Stock and 2 Beef Stew Seasoning Packets
Cook potato’s uncovered on high heat for 20-30 mins. If you like your soup to have a clearer broth at the end, 20 mins. If you like your stew broth to be thicker when done, cook them for 30 mins. If you like a thicker broth, you can also add 1/4 cup dry mashed potato’s to the potato’s broth or coat the meat with flour before cooking.
In another pan, a skillet, start browning your Beef Stew meat. Coat the pan with Worcestershire sauce and 1-2 TBSP Grill Mates Steak Seasoning (depending on your taste)
Once the outside of the meat is browned, still pink/red on the inside, and after your potato’s are cooked, pour skillet contents into stock pan with potato’s.
Put your celery, onions, and carrots into the stock pan as well.
Add 1/4 cup parsley to stock pan. Season with salt to taste.
Keep on high heat and cook uncovered for an additional 30 mins.
