Pumpkins! Spiders! Ghosts! Oh, my! Halloween is almost here! One of the best things about homeschooling is that you, the parent, can decide when to take a break from regular studies and find teaching opportunities in every day life.

The candy sort looks like fun. My three year old loves to sort by colors and then count. I am not sure how long the candy would last but it would be a great opportunity to discuss “take away’ and a light introduction to subtraction.
